Albertville High School, located in Marshall County in northeast Alabama, was one of the first schools in Alabama. The JROTC program was established in 1966 and was part of the curriculum until 1982, at which time it was disbanded. In 1993, under the JROTC Expansion Program, JROTC was reinstated, and is the only such program in this county. The current program is strong, earning Honor Unit with Distinction in its second year and keeping this honor still today. This year's "Aggie Battalion" consists of 85 cadets and has multiple drill teams and color guards, a rifle team, a physical training (PT) team, and an honor guard.
